UGC API

A TokPortal alternative for accounts you own

TokPortal distributes UGC through managed accounts operated by people on real devices. UGC API posts to accounts your creators own and connect themselves through official platform APIs. The choice is mostly about who owns the accounts and how much platform risk you accept.

What each product is

TokPortal is a UGC distribution service. It provides managed accounts that are operated by humans on devices, and posts your videos to them. It has an API, an MCP server and analytics, including a feature it calls a hit detector. At the time of writing plans range from $49 for 1 account to $195 for 8, plus credits: 32 to create an account and 2 per video.

UGC API is a posting API and dashboard. It doesn't supply accounts. Your creators, clients or users connect their own TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube accounts with a connect link, and UGC API posts to them through the official TikTok, Meta and Google APIs.

Prices and limits for other products are from their public sites at the time of writing (October 2026). Plans change often, so check their current pricing page before you decide.

Who owns the audience

With UGC API, every account belongs to a real creator or to your brand. The creator approves access through the platform's own consent screen and can revoke it at any time. Followers, history and reputation stay with the account owner. If you stop using UGC API, the accounts and their audiences are still yours.

With managed accounts, the accounts are provided as part of the service. That can get you started without recruiting creators, but you should ask who holds the login, what happens to the accounts if you leave, and whether audiences built there transfer to you.

Platform terms are a risk to evaluate

TikTok, Instagram and YouTube all have rules on inauthentic behavior, account selling and coordinated activity. We aren't saying any provider breaks those rules. We are saying that if your distribution depends on accounts you don't own, enforcement against those accounts is a business risk you should evaluate. Read the platform terms, ask the provider how they handle them, and decide how much of your reach you want exposed to that risk.

UGC API only posts through official APIs, with TikTok's creator info check, privacy chosen by the user and the AI-generated label where it applies. That keeps posting inside what each platform has approved.

Where TokPortal may fit better

  • You want reach on accounts right away and don't have creators to connect.
  • You want someone else to run the accounts day to day.
  • You have evaluated the platform-terms risk and are comfortable with it.

Where UGC API is different

  • You own the accounts. No account renting. Creators connect their own profiles.
  • Cost is per post. 3,000 posts across 100 accounts is $30, with no account fee.
  • Campaigns over your roster. Spread posts over creator accounts on a cadence, preview first. See scheduling across many accounts.
  • Four platforms. One upload goes to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube in native formats.

Moving to creator-owned accounts

  1. Sign up and claim 50 free posts. Create an API key in the dashboard, or skip the key if your team works in the dashboard only.
  2. Reconnect accounts with UGC API connect links. Tokens from TokPortal can't be transferred, because each provider uses its own TikTok, Meta and Google apps. Send each creator a link, set an external_id so the account maps to your own user ID, and the creator approves access without sharing a password.
  3. Map your existing jobs to POST /v1/posts for single posts or POST /v1/campaigns for many posts over many accounts. Run the campaign with "dry_run": true first to check the schedule and the credit count.
  4. Point post.published and post.failed webhooks to your handler and verify the signature.
  5. Run both tools side by side for a week. Pause the accounts in TokPortal as each one goes live in UGC API, so nothing posts twice.

If you don't have creators yet, start small. Recruit 5 to 10 creators, connect them, and run a short campaign. Our UGC agencies page and posting cadence guide cover how teams build a roster.

A worked example: 20 creators, 600 videos

A DTC brand pays 20 creators to post its UGC. Each creator connects TikTok and Instagram through a connect link tagged with their creator ID. The brand sends one campaign with 600 videos over the 40 accounts at 1 per account per day, so it runs 15 days. Cost: 600 credits, or $6.

After the campaign, the brand pulls stats per account, pays bonuses to the top creators and keeps them for the next round. The audiences stay with the creators, and the brand's relationship with them is direct.

How to choose

  • Pick TokPortal if you want provided accounts run for you and accept the platform risk.
  • Pick UGC API if you post to accounts your creators or brand own, through official APIs, and pay per post.

FAQ

Does UGC API provide TikTok accounts?

No. UGC API posts to accounts that you or your creators own and connect through official APIs. We don't sell or rent accounts.

Do creators need to share passwords?

No. Creators approve access on the platform's own consent screen through a connect link and can revoke it any time.

Is using managed accounts against platform rules?

We can't judge another provider's setup. Platform terms on inauthentic behavior and account selling are a risk buyers should read and evaluate themselves.

What does UGC API cost for 100 accounts?

There is no account fee. 3,000 posts a month across 100 accounts is $30 in credits.
