Posting API for creator networks
Creator networks and creator-ops teams manage content for many independent creators. UGC API lets creators connect their accounts once, then lets your team schedule and publish approved content for them.
Updated
What creator ops needs
- Consent without passwords. Creators approve access on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or Google's own login screen through a connect link.
- Mapping. Each connected account carries your
external_id, such as the creator's ID in your CRM. - Drafts for creator control. TikTok drafts land in the creator's inbox. They choose the sound and tap post.
- Disconnect alerts. An
account.disconnectedwebhook fires when a token stops working, so you can resend the link.
Onboarding a creator
- Your system calls
POST /v1/accounts/connectonce per platform with the creator's ID asexternal_id. - Send the links in your onboarding email or creator portal.
- The creator approves each platform. Accounts appear in
GET /v1/accounts?external_id=creator-881. - Your team schedules posts against those account IDs.
Full details are in connect accounts and the white-label connect guide.
Approval before posting
Most networks want a review step between a creator's upload and the public post. Keep that step in your own tool, then create the post with a future scheduled_at once it is approved. If plans change, cancel it with DELETE /v1/posts/:id before it goes out. For creators who want the last word, TikTok drafts send the content to their inbox instead of posting it.
Store the post ID next to the deliverable in your CRM. When the post.published webhook arrives, you have the live URL for the brand report without asking the creator for a link.
Brand deals and disclosure
Sponsored content needs platform disclosures. TikTok's Content Posting API has commercial content settings, and TikTok requires its own disclosure UX for apps that let users post directly. When creators need to toggle branded content themselves, post as a TikTok draft and let them finish in the app. That keeps the disclosure choice with the creator.
Scaling across the roster
When one asset runs across 30 creators, a campaign spreads it on a per-account cadence with staggered times, so the network doesn't light up at once. See scheduling UGC across many accounts.
Pricing
You pay per post: $10 per 1,000. Creators who connect but don't post cost nothing. See pricing.
FAQ
Can a creator revoke access?
Yes, anytime, from the platform's app settings. You get an account.disconnected webhook when that happens.
Do creators need a UGC API account?
No. They only open your connect link and approve on the platform's own page.
Can we post sponsored content through the API?
Yes, but follow each platform's disclosure rules. For TikTok branded content, drafts let the creator set disclosure in the app.
