How to schedule TikTok posts across multiple accounts
A TikTok scheduler for one account is easy to find. Scheduling for 5, 50 or 200 creator accounts is a different job: you need bulk upload, a cadence per account, spacing, and a way to recover when one account breaks. This guide covers both the dashboard and the API.
Updated
What changes when you manage many TikTok accounts
Native TikTok scheduling works inside one account, one video at a time. It is fine for a single brand profile. It does not help when you run a roster of creator accounts for clients, or a network of your own accounts posting UGC.
- Logins. You can't ask 50 creators for their passwords. Each creator needs to grant access once and keep it.
- Volume. 200 accounts at 1 post a day is 6,000 posts a month. You need to upload and assign content in bulk.
- Spacing. All accounts posting at the same minute looks automated and hits rate limits.
- Failures. Over a month, some tokens expire and some videos get rejected. The schedule has to keep going for everyone else.
Step 1: connect the creator accounts
Each creator opens a connect link and approves access on TikTok's own login page. You never see a password. In the dashboard, create a link and send it by email or DM. With the API, call POST /v1/accounts/connect with platform: "tiktok" and your own external_id, so you can match the account to the creator in your system. See connect accounts.
If you work with clients, put each client in their own team workspace. Their accounts, posts and results stay separate, and teammates only see what they need.
Step 2: respect TikTok's posting rules
TikTok has rules for apps that post on a creator's behalf. A good scheduler follows them for you, but you should know what they are.
- Creator info. Before posting, the app must show which creator the post goes out as.
GET /v1/accounts/:id/creator_inforeturns the nickname, username and avatar. - Privacy choice. The creator, or the team acting for them, picks who can see the post from the options TikTok allows for that account. There is no default. Pass the choice as
options.tiktok.privacy. - Interactions. Comments, duets and stitches can be turned off per post. Anything the creator turned off in TikTok stays off.
- Daily caps. TikTok caps posts per creator per day, and the cap is shared with every other app the creator uses. UGC cadences sit well below it.
- Disclosure. Paid or promotional posts need the commercial content setting, and AI-made content should carry the AI-generated label.
Step 3: schedule in the dashboard
The dashboard composer is built for many accounts at once. No code is needed.
- Open the composer and drop in all your clips at once. Each file becomes its own post.
- Write a caption per post, or one caption for all of them and edit the exceptions.
- Pick the TikTok accounts. Select a whole team or tick accounts one by one.
- Set a cadence, such as 1 post per account per day, plus posting times and a time zone.
- Preview. You see every post, the account it goes to, the date and time, and the credits it will use.
- Confirm with one click. Each post shows up in the posts list with its own status.
Step 4: or schedule with the API
If your content comes from a pipeline, use a campaign. POST /v1/campaigns takes the posts, the accounts and a cadence, and builds the schedule. Add "dry_run": true first to see the schedule and credits_needed without creating anything.
curl https://ugcapi.dev/v1/campaigns \
-H "Authorization: Bearer ugc_live_..." \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"name": "Brand X - TikTok November",
"accounts": ["acc_tt_01", "acc_tt_02", "acc_tt_03", "acc_tt_04", "acc_tt_05"],
"cadence": { "per_day": 1 },
"times": ["18:00"],
"timezone": "America/New_York",
"start_date": "2026-11-01",
"dry_run": true,
"posts": [
{ "format": "video", "media": ["https://cdn.example.com/h/001.mp4"], "caption": "Hook 1 #ugc",
"options": { "tiktok": { "privacy": "PUBLIC_TO_EVERYONE", "ai_generated": false } } },
{ "format": "slideshow", "media": ["https://cdn.example.com/s/002-1.jpg", "https://cdn.example.com/s/002-2.jpg"], "caption": "Hook 2",
"options": { "tiktok": { "privacy": "PUBLIC_TO_EVERYONE", "auto_music": true } } }
]
}'When the preview looks right, send the same request without dry_run. Posts are assigned round-robin, so neighbors in your list land on different accounts. Each account's times are shifted a few minutes from the previous account's. Full field list in the campaigns doc.
Spacing and time zones
Pick posting times for when the audience is awake, not when your team is. A campaign takes local times and an IANA timezone, so 18:00 stays 18:00 in New York through daylight saving changes. If your accounts target different countries, run one campaign per region with its own time zone.
| Accounts | Per account per day | Posts per month | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | 1 | about 150 | A small client test. Good for finding hooks. |
| 30 | 1 | about 900 | A typical agency roster. |
| 100 | 2 | about 6,000 | Needs a steady content supply. |
| 200 | 1 | about 6,000 | Spread over several posting times. |
Most UGC teams start at 1 to 3 posts per account per day. Our posting cadence guide explains why lower cadence over more accounts often wins.
Drafts instead of direct posts
Some creators want the final say. Set options.tiktok.draft to true and the video lands in the creator's TikTok inbox instead of publishing. The creator adds a sound, checks the caption and posts it from the app. Drafts are slower and depend on the creator acting, so most teams use them only for new creators or sensitive clients.
When something breaks mid-schedule
- If a creator's login expires, that account's posts wait and you get an
account.disconnectedwebhook. The rest of the roster keeps posting. - When the creator reconnects, the waiting posts go out. Nothing posts twice.
- A rejected video sends a
post.failedwebhook with TikTok's reason. Failed and cancelled posts are refunded. - Cancel one post with
DELETE /v1/posts/:id, or a whole campaign withDELETE /v1/campaigns/:id.
A weekly routine that works
Scheduling many TikTok accounts is easier as a routine than as a one-off push. Most teams that run 30 or more accounts settle into something like this:
- Monday: collect the week's clips and slideshows from creators or your editors. Name files with a stable ID.
- Tuesday: review and caption. Decide which clips go to which client's accounts.
- Wednesday: build next week's campaign per client and per region. Preview it, check the credits, confirm.
- Daily: glance at failed posts and disconnected accounts. Send a fresh connect link the same day.
- Friday: read results, pick the clips that did best, and add new versions of them to next week's batch.
Keep a week of content scheduled ahead at all times. If a batch is late, the accounts keep posting, and the cadence stays steady. Gaps of several days followed by bursts are worse for reach than a slow, even pace.
Scheduling from other tools
You don't have to use the dashboard or write code. The n8n-nodes-ugcapi node lets an n8n workflow create posts and campaigns from a sheet or a form. The remote MCP server lets Claude or ChatGPT schedule a batch when you ask in plain words, such as "post these 10 clips to the Brand X accounts, one a day at 6pm". Both use the same campaigns and the same rules as the API.
What it costs
UGC API charges per post, not per account. Credits cost $10 per 1,000 posts, are prepaid and never expire, and you get 50 free to start. 30 accounts at 1 post a day for a month is about 900 posts, or about $9. See pricing.
FAQ
How many TikTok accounts can I schedule for?
As many as you connect. There are no per-account fees. Teams run anything from 5 to a few hundred accounts.
Do creators need to share their TikTok password?
No. Each creator approves access once through a connect link on TikTok's own page. You never handle passwords.
How many posts per day can one TikTok account make?
TikTok caps posts per creator per day, shared across all apps the creator uses. For reach, most UGC teams stay at 1 to 3 per day.
Can I schedule TikTok photo posts too?
Yes. Use format slideshow with 2 or more images. TikTok can add recommended music with auto_music on direct posts.
Can the creator approve each post before it goes live?
Yes. Send it as a draft with options.tiktok.draft set to true. It lands in the creator's TikTok inbox to finish and post.
