UGC API

An Upload-Post alternative for UGC video and slideshows

Upload-Post is a wide social API that reaches many platforms in one call. UGC API reaches four and specializes in UGC formats and many-account schedules. Here is where each fits.

Coverage

Upload-Post describes itself as a unified social media API that publishes to 22 platforms in a single call. Its list includes TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky and several community and blog platforms. If reach across many networks is your goal, that breadth is a real advantage. Check Upload-Post's site for current pricing and plan limits.

UGC API covers TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Pages and YouTube. These are the networks where short-form UGC performs, and focusing on them lets us expose each platform's UGC-specific options.

UGC formats in one request

You sendUGC API publishes
format: 'slideshow'TikTok photo post with optional auto music, Instagram carousel at 4:5, optional Instagram Story frames (all or first), Facebook multi-photo post
format: 'video'TikTok video, Instagram Reel with optional grid and Story, Facebook Reel, YouTube Short with title and privacy
format: 'image'Instagram feed image and optional Story, Facebook photo

Every option is documented in formats and options.

Scheduling many accounts

If you run 25 creator accounts, you need more than a scheduled time per post. You need a rule like 2 posts per account per day, spread over the day, assigned round-robin so no account gets two similar videos in a row. UGC API's campaigns take that rule as input. Most general APIs leave this logic to you.

Pricing model

  • $10 per 1,000 posts, $40 per 5,000, $70 per 10,000.
  • 1 post = one piece of content on one account. Each Instagram Story frame is one post.
  • Credits never expire. No subscription. No per-account fees.
  • 50 free posts to test.

Compare with Upload-Post's current plans at your real volume. For low, bursty volume or many accounts, prepaid per-post credits are often simpler. See pricing.

When Upload-Post may suit you better

  • You publish to LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Pinterest or blogs along with short video.
  • You want one vendor for every network your brand uses.
  • Its plan structure fits your volume better than prepaid credits.

What changes per platform for one clip

Even when one API posts everywhere, the platforms still differ. Facebook Page Reels accept 3 to 90 seconds. YouTube treats vertical or square videos up to 3 minutes as Shorts. Instagram Stories vanish after 24 hours. TikTok caps how many API posts a creator can receive per day. UGC API keeps one request but returns a result per account, so a Facebook rejection doesn't block the TikTok post.

Account health at volume

Posting the same clip to 25 accounts at 9:00 looks automated, because it is. Campaigns stagger the minutes and rotate content across accounts, so each account gets a different video at a different time. That is better for reach and keeps each account well under platform caps. Read UGC posting cadence for starting numbers.

Moving a workload over

  1. Create a key in the dashboard. You start with 50 free posts.
  2. Send each creator a UGC API connect link. Platform tokens can't move between providers, so a reconnect is required.
  3. Set external_id to the user or profile ID you already use, so your database mapping doesn't change.
  4. Translate your upload calls to POST /v1/posts, and replace hand-built schedules with a campaign.
  5. Run both side by side for a week on a few accounts before switching everything.

How to choose

  • Pick Upload-Post if you need platforms beyond TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, or features we don't offer.
  • Pick UGC API if your content is short video and slideshows, you post across many accounts, and you want to pay per post with no plan.
  • Test both with real content. Our 50 free posts are enough to run a small campaign across a few accounts.
