UGC API

An Outstand alternative for UGC campaigns

Outstand and UGC API are both usage-priced posting APIs with unlimited accounts. Outstand covers more platforms and can be cheaper at high volume. UGC API adds campaign scheduling, previews and creator onboarding for UGC teams.

What each product is

Outstand (outstand.so) is a social media API for developers. Its pitch is that you stop building 12 integrations and build one. It lists 12 platforms, unlimited accounts, an MCP server, per-post analytics, bring-your-own-app white-label, and allows reselling.

UGC API is a posting API and a dashboard for UGC on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Pages and YouTube Shorts. On top of single posts it has campaigns that spread many posts over many accounts, dry-run previews, connect links for creators, and analytics from all four platforms.

Prices and limits for other products are from their public sites at the time of writing (October 2026). Plans change often, so check their current pricing page before you decide.

Pricing, honestly

At the time of writing Outstand charges $19 a month including 3,000 posts, then $0.007 per post up to 10,000 and $0.005 beyond. A Business plan is $129 for 50,000 posts. UGC API charges $10 per 1,000 posts, with packs at $40 per 5,000 and $70 per 10,000.

Monthly postsUGC APIOutstand (at the time of writing)
500$5 in credits$19 plan
3,000$30, or less with packs$19 plan
10,000$70 packAbout $68 ($19 + 7,000 × $0.007)
50,000About $350 with 10,000 packs$129 Business plan

So Outstand is cheaper at steady, high volume. UGC API is cheaper when volume is low or uneven, because there is no monthly fee and credits never expire. If you post 8,000 one month and 200 the next, you pay for 8,200 posts and nothing else.

Where UGC API is different

  • Campaigns. POST /v1/campaigns spreads N posts over M accounts with a cadence per account, local times and a timezone. You don't write the scheduler.
  • Dry-run preview. See every post's time and account, and the credits needed, before anything is created.
  • Creator connect links. Send a link, the creator approves, and the account shows up mapped to your external_id. No passwords. Our white-label connect guide covers the flow.
  • A dashboard for the whole team. Operators can run campaigns without code while developers use the API. Workspaces have roles.
  • Refunds. Failed and cancelled posts give their credits back.

Where Outstand may fit better

  • You post tens of thousands of times a month at a steady rate. Their usage price is lower.
  • You need platforms beyond our four.
  • You want to use your own platform apps so the consent screens show your brand.
  • You plan to resell posting under your own product.

Migrating from Outstand

  1. Sign up and claim 50 free posts. Create an API key in the dashboard, or skip the key if your team works in the dashboard only.
  2. Reconnect accounts with UGC API connect links. Tokens from Outstand can't be transferred, because each provider uses its own TikTok, Meta and Google apps. Send each creator a link, set an external_id so the account maps to your own user ID, and the creator approves access without sharing a password.
  3. Map your existing jobs to POST /v1/posts for single posts or POST /v1/campaigns for many posts over many accounts. Run the campaign with "dry_run": true first to check the schedule and the credit count.
  4. Point post.published and post.failed webhooks to your handler and verify the signature.
  5. Run both tools side by side for a week. Pause the accounts in Outstand as each one goes live in UGC API, so nothing posts twice.

A worked example: a launch month for a UGC agency

An agency signs a client for a 3-week push: 600 videos over 40 creator accounts, posting at 11:00 and 19:00 London time. With UGC API the operator uploads the videos in the dashboard, picks the 40 accounts, sets 2 per day and runs a preview. The preview shows the schedule ends after about 8 days and uses 600 credits.

The client wants it slower, so the operator changes the cadence to 1 per day and previews again: 15 days. Then they confirm. Cost: $6 in credits. The next month the client pauses, and the agency pays nothing.

How to choose

  • Pick Outstand for steady high volume, more platforms or reselling under your own apps.
  • Pick UGC API for UGC campaigns over many accounts, team members who don't code, and spend that goes up and down.
  • Test both. Our 50 free posts are enough to run a small campaign end to end.

FAQ

Is Outstand cheaper than UGC API?

At steady high volume, yes, at the time of writing. At low or uneven volume UGC API can cost less, because there is no monthly fee and credits never expire.

Do both have unlimited accounts?

Yes. UGC API has no per-account fee. You pay per post.

Can I use my own TikTok or Meta app with UGC API?

UGC API uses its own approved apps, so you don't need app reviews. Connect links can still carry your branding and map accounts to your user IDs.

Does UGC API have analytics?

Yes. Views, likes, comments and shares per post and per account from all four platforms, plus top posts and GET /v1/stats with date range and account filters.
